Breeding Excellence
We care deeply about the health, happiness, and well-being of our puppies and we know you are here because you are looking for the Gold Standard experience when choosing your new puppy. Because we are professional trainers as well as breeders, we have unique insight that helps us match the right Whoodle to the right loving home. Here are a few things we include with each new puppy
8-Year Health Guarantee
While most breeders offer a typical 2 year health guarantee, My Whoodle provides you with a 8-YEAR Health Guarantee on all of of our puppies.
Genetically Tested
Every sire and dam in our breeding program undergoes rigorous DNA sequencing to identify and eliminate hereditary health risks common to Poodles and Soft-Coated Wheaten Terriers. We maintain a strict zero-carrier policy; our entire breeding roster is certified 100% clear of the genetic markers responsible for:
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM): A progressive, incurable disease of the spinal cord.
Protein Losing Nephropathy (PLN): An inherited kidney disorder specific to the terrier lineage.
Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA / prcd): A family of genetic diseases causing progressive blindness.
Skeletal Dysplasias: Including Osteochondrodysplasia and Chondrodystrophy (CDDY/IVDD risk).
Early Neuro Stimulation
From day 3 through day 16 of life, our neonate puppies undergo the specialized “Super Dog” protocol. This window of tactical neurological stimulation subjects the puppies to mild, controlled stressors that stimulate the endocrine and nervous systems. Peer-reviewed canine research confirms this protocol delivers five permanent, lifelong benefits:
Improved cardio-vascular performance (stronger heartbeats)
Stronger adrenal glands
Greater tolerance to environmental stress
Greater resistance to infectious disease
Accelerated problem-solving capabilities
Advanced Puppy Socialization
Because we have many years of professional experience in training dogs, we are able to provide an advanced socialization program which involves lots of love, attention, proper handling and proper sound adaption and conditioning.
Healthy Puppies
All puppies are dewormed at 4,6 and 8 weeks, are always up-to-date on vaccinations and your packet will come with information to schedule continued vaccinations to keep your puppy healthy and safe.
All of puppies are examined by a veterinarian before going home with a certificate of health.
Microchipping
Permanent Recovery: Every puppy is implanted with an ISO-compliant microchip prior to handoff, ensuring lifetime tracking and identification capabilities via national recovery registries.
Registered Parents
Registered Parents: Our foundational bloodlines descend exclusively from documented, purebred ancestry, utilizing premium AKC Poodle and AKC Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier lineages chosen for exceptional temperament and type.
Advanced Hip Screenings (PennHIP & OFA)
To aggressively combat canine hip dysplasia, our program utilizes a dual-layered orthopedic screening process, relying primarily on PennHIP assessments alongside traditional OFA clearances.
Roughly 90% of our breeding roster is evaluated via PennHIP, which utilizes a precise, stress-radiograph technique to measure passive joint laxity. By calculating a mathematical Distraction Index (DI) under traction, PennHIP allows us to objectively select candidates with exceptionally tight hip joints. To complement this data, we pair these metrics with comprehensive evaluations through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA). Utilizing both methodologies gives us a complete, multi-dimensional view of each dog’s skeletal conformity. Every sire and dam in our program must pass these rigorous screenings and score above the national breed average before being cleared for reproduction.
Sadie’s PennHIP Report
Sadie’s score of 0.46 officially places her hips in the top tier of her breed—testing out structurally superior to roughly 70% of all Soft-Coated Wheaten Terriers ever evaluated.
-
The Square (0.54): Represents the national breed average. Because Wheaten Terriers are naturally looser-jointed, the average sits in the moderate zone.
-
The Black Dot (0.46): Represents Sadie. Her score is significantly tighter and safer than the breed average (positioned well to the left).
Our Breeding Philosophy: PennHIP protocols recommend exclusively breeding dogs that outperform the breed median. By strictly following this data-driven standard, we actively tighten hip laxity and improve orthopedic health with every single generation.
